The Rotary Club of Enfield is honoring Enfield’s veterans by sponsoring military tribute banners that will be displayed in Higgins Park, the Town Green, Freshwater Walkway, North Main Street and Hazardville between Memorial Day and Veterans Day in 2026 and 2027. The Enfield Public Library partnered with Enfield Rotary to preserve digital versions of these banners as well as biographical information about each veteran.

Warren Thomas Nagle has called the Town of Enfield home for more than six decades, building a life defined by service, dedication, and community pride. A proud United States Air Force veteran, Warren served on active duty from 1953 to 1957, rising to the rank of senior staff sergeant. During his military tenure, he earned several honors, including the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Army of Occupation Medal for his service in Germany. In later years, the State of Connecticut honored his service with a distinguished award presented during a ceremony at Enfield High School.

Following his military service, Warren began a long and respected career with Bendix, Inc. and its many successor companies, where he worked as a senior service representative for more than 40 years. His role took him across the East and Midwest, where he became known for his professionalism, reliability, and dedication to both his company and its clients.

Now 90, Warren remains an active and familiar presence in Enfield. He regularly visits the Enfield Senior Center and is warmly recognized throughout town. A member of several historical and aviation organizations, he is also a lifelong baseball fan devoted to the Boston Red Sox. Warren and his wife, Glenda, have shared 64 years of marriage and a growing family that stands as part of his enduring legacy, including sons Tom and Warren, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
