The Rotary Club of Enfield is honoring Enfield’s veterans by sponsoring military tribute banners that will be displayed in Higgins Park, the Town Green, Freshwater Walkway, North Main Street and Hazardville between Memorial Day and Veterans Day in 2026 and 2027. The Enfield Public Library partnered with Enfield Rotary to preserve digital versions of these banners as well as biographical information about each veteran.

From the moment he chose to serve, his path has been defined by commitment, discipline, and courage. In June 2024, he stepped forward to join the United States Navy, answering a call that few are willing to take. By August 15, 2024, he stood proudly as a graduate of boot camp—transformed, prepared, and ready to carry the weight of responsibility that comes with wearing the uniform.

Through dedication and perseverance, he completed A School in February 2025, sharpening his skills and proving his readiness for the fleet. Soon after, he received orders to the USS George H. W. Bush (CVN-77), joining one of the Navy’s most formidable warships and becoming part of something far greater than himself.

Now deployed with Carrier Strike Group 10, he stands watch alongside his shipmates, embodying honor, courage, and commitment every single day. During this deployment, he took part in the time-honored “Crossing the Line” ceremony aboard the Bush—a proud milestone marking his transformation from a “pollywog” to a “shellback,” a tradition that binds sailors across generations.

His journey is still just beginning, but already it tells a powerful story—of service, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to country. We honor his achievements, celebrate his strength, and stand in gratitude for the path he has chosen.

Fair winds and following seas.
