The Rotary Club of Enfield is honoring Enfield’s veterans by sponsoring military tribute banners that will be displayed in Higgins Park, the Town Green, Freshwater Walkway, North Main Street and Hazardville between Memorial Day and Veterans Day in 2026 and 2027. The Enfield Public Library partnered with Enfield Rotary to preserve digital versions of these banners as well as biographical information about each veteran.

Bob joined the Army Reserve in 1991 as a Finance Specialist for the 76th Division Headquarters in Hartford, CT. In 1995 he became a member of the 2/417th Drill Sergeant unit. Promotion lead to a transfer to the 84th Div. as a Training NCO for the 2nd BN Captains Career Course at Ft. Dix, NJ. After another promotion he was assigned to the 102nd as the First Sergeant for the Chemical School. In 2015 Bob's promotion to Sergeant Major had him assigned to the 2nd BN, 78th Division in Newport, RI. as a team leader for OC/T's. Bob stayed in this position until 2020 when he took over as BDG CSM during the COVID outbreak. He retired in 2021 from this position. His highest military award is the Meritorious Service Medal w/oak leaf cluster.
Bob is a graduate from Southern CT State University with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education and a Master in Health Education. He has been a Teacher in the Town of Enfield at JFK Middle school for the past 30 Years.
