The Rotary Club of Enfield is honoring Enfield’s veterans by sponsoring military tribute banners that will be displayed in Higgins Park, the Town Green, Freshwater Walkway, North Main Street and Hazardville between Memorial Day and Veterans Day in 2026 and 2027. The Enfield Public Library partnered with Enfield Rotary to preserve digital versions of these banners as well as biographical information about each veteran.

Shaunna Halpin is a 2010 graduate of Enrico Fermi High School. She enlisted in United States Navy shortly after graduation and served for six years, attaining the rank of Petty Officer Second Class. During her service, she worked as an Aviation Electronics Technician specializing in surveillance aircraft. She was based in Norfolk, VA, where she supported fleet operations and maintained mission-critical avionics systems. While stationed there, she was attached to both the USS Eisenhower and later the USS Nimitz, contributing to operational readiness and aviation support across multiple assignments. Her role required technical expertise, attention to detail, and dedication to mission success. Shaunna is honored to have served her country and remains proud of her time in the United States Navy.
