The Rotary Club of Enfield is honoring Enfield’s veterans by sponsoring military tribute banners that will be displayed in Higgins Park, the Town Green, Freshwater Walkway, North Main Street and Hazardville between Memorial Day and Veterans Day in 2026 and 2027. The Enfield Public Library partnered with Enfield Rotary to preserve digital versions of these banners as well as biographical information about each veteran.

Anthony Genco

United States army 2024-present

private first class

Anthony graduated from Enfield High School in June 2024 and made the decision to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army later that summer. In August 2024, he left for basic training, beginning his journey of discipline, commitment, and service. Following basic training, Anthony attended Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Moore, where he trained to become an Infantryman. There, he developed the skills, strength, and resilience required to serve on the front lines and support the mission of the U.S. Army.

After successfully completing his training in February 2025, Anthony was assigned to his first duty station in Europe. Now serving overseas, he continues to demonstrate dedication, courage, and pride in representing his country. We are so proud of Anthony and grateful for his service to our nation.
